LICHENS, MOSSES & ALGAE

Here is a selection of Lichen, mosses & algae that have been found in Clumber/Sherwood & surrounding areas,
while there are not the huge number of species that can be found in other more Lichen friendly areas, there is still an interesting variety of types to be found, and due to the much improved air quality of the area, they seem to be on the increase,
my knowledge of these fascinating Lichens etc, is very limited, and many are depicted here as unknown, so if feel you can identify (or correct) any of them, your views are most welcome,
you will find the descriptions etc of all the types depicted to be brief, as this reflects my minimal knowledge of these species.
